What started as two brothers — Michael and John Taggart — building houses in Derry in 1989 has grown into one of the most experienced family housebuilders in Ireland and the UK. We’ve delivered over five million square feet of housing across both islands, from individual private homes to large multi-phase developments.
Today, Irish Prefab Homes brings that same construction standard to the modular category — A-rated cottages, garden rooms and shepherds huts, factory-built and delivered turnkey. The same family. The same standards. A faster, smarter way to build.

Brothers Michael and John Taggart establish Taggart Homes in Derry, Northern Ireland — building well-designed homes for the local market.
Expansion
Expanded from Northern Ireland into the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain — delivering housing developments across both islands while remaining a family-run business.
